Below you will find the questions from the National Science Agenda that are related to the route Building blocks of matter and foundations of space and time. 

These questions came directly from the public at the start of the larger NWO project The National Science Agenda (NWA). The main ideology here is that the NWA is focussed on research that has a strong connection to the curiosity or direct needs from the general public. To most questions we have no direct answer yet, but we're on a road to discovery!

120 - Can we design smart materials and constructions with new advanced properties?
124 - How do we bridge the gap between different scales when modelling dynamic systems, such as flows of and in liquids and gases?
125 - What symmetries are hidden under prime numbers and how can mathematical number theory contribute to physical theory formation?
126 - What role does quantum physics play in macroscopic systems and what spectacular new phenomena and applications does this make possible?
127 - What are the origins, history and future of the universe?
128 - Do we know all the elementary building blocks of matter?
129 - What is the true nature of gravity, space and time and what can you learn from black holes, for example?
130 - What is dark matter and dark energy?
131 - How do galaxies, stars and planets form and evolve?
132 - How can we use spacecraft and telescopes to understand more about the universe and explore our solar system?
135 - How can we better understand the properties, functionalities and interplay of molecules in living systems and thus develop life-inspired systems?
140 - What can we as humans know about ourselves, God and our place in the cosmos, and to what extent can science provide that knowledge?
